Camilla’s Water Dragon Dame mini print is on sale. I loved this in black and white, and even more colored! (via Water Dragon Dame Mini Print - Prints)
More good news from London!
Camilla will have a painting in a show - for the first time EVER in the UK - in the London Miles show opening May 12th.
This is how the Kuro Glass Charms are made. We put together this video to show the process, which is fascinating. Before seeing this video I really had no idea how they could be made … I had been thinking along the lines of the old school glass blowers (like in Venice!).
Every charm is absolutely unique because each is made individually. No two can ever be alike. Anyone interested in purchasing one can buy them on the online store.
I wear mine for good luck, and it is so true! He’s my business good luck charm. And always gets attention.
Kuro Glass Charms are made in collaboration with Bling Squared, an artisan from Salt Spring Island in BC, Canada.
We love creative collaborations with other artists, creatives, designers, etc. It’s the creative process that’s so special, when two (or more) people come together to create something new and fun and loved by others. And this is a great example of that.
As an artist or creative, you don’t need to always shoot for the big companies. Rather, start small, with people or small businesses you know or admire and who’s style/art/etc. is a perfect fit with yours. Most of the time you’ll have more fun with the creative collaborations than with business licensing deals!
Even though we may work with big companies on merchandise or licensing, we’ll never say no to an artisan or a designer or business that is a great fit, who ‘clicks’ with us - and with Camilla’s art and style. And of course - we want to turn out a great product that resonates with our customers and Camilla’s fans.
