Over the past four years, I’ve been fortunate enough to grow professionally in the fintech industry and become part of a community of inspirational, driven professionals, many whom I count as colleagues, friends and mentors. I cannot think of a better industry to call home, now more than ever.
Today, I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be joining the team at AlphaFlow as Chief Operating Officer alongside one of the most respected individuals in our industry, founder and CEO, Ray Sturm. Ray has put together a sharp, discerning and motivated team that is committed to executing initiatives, products, features, and partnerships with passion and determination. And they deliver.
Ray and I share a common goal of providing unbiased information about, and making a positive contribution to, an industry that we both helped foster through our previous companies, RealtyShares and Patch of Land. We believe in, and infuse, a culture of providing clients and partners with the most professional service and customer experience.

A guiding company principle is that passive investing should truly be passive - to the investor. This principle is put into action through AlphaFlow Optimized Portfolios - the first automated portfolio service for real estate investments, which bring to real estate what ETFs brought to stocks.
AlphaFlow Optimized Portfolios contain 1st lien bridge loans targeting up to 8-10% yields and a maximum LTV of 75%. What makes the product unique is that an investor’s funds – from the first deposit - are invested across 75-100 loans in at least 15 states, diversifying geographically, and by loan size, borrower, and lender. Dare I say unprecedented diversification?
Unabashedly, AlphaFlow is the next evolution of real estate investing. It is where ‘fin’ meets tech and where active management meets automation. It is the combination of human experience and discernment together with advanced analytics and algorithms to deliver a unique investment product. We apply best practices of institutional investment management to the real estate asset class within marketplace lending and real estate crowdfunding.
We build diversified portfolios of loans with all the benefits of the asset class, while removing the burden of individually selecting loans off the investor. Portfolios are professionally managed by experts, and loan selection is assisted by our proprietary analytics. Unlike more traditional funds, however, AlphaFlow Optimized Portfolios provide transparency into the loan portfolio at any time through an online dashboard and investors can choose automations like auto-reinvest and auto-withdraw to customize the flow of monthly earnings.
When the JOBS Act opened regulatory doors trailblazing companies like Patch of Land, Fundrise, RealtyMogul and RealtyShares were the first to provide increased access, transparency and opportunities for investors to add real estate to their portfolios. Since then, LendingHome, Sharestates and Peerstreet, amongst others, have upped the game. Investors – whether professional, independent, or institutional, have never had such varied and high quality investment opportunities. And I still believe, four years in, that we are in the early stages!
